Illustration Friday - surprise

Here's a quick pencil sketch of a very surprised hare:



I don't know if I will have time to complete it in pastel pencils, so here is one not so surprised hare!

I was trying the effects of different papers. The hare on the sand coloured paper is on Fabriano Tiziano, the red is just kids coloured drawing paper. The Fabriano has just the right amount of tooth, but you get a lovely soft effect on the cheap paper that can sometimes be good.
