Illustration Friday - Reflection

Here's Maisie thinking really hard about something.
(Possibly the consequences of cutting her own fringe!)

Coloured pencil.

Illustration Friday - wisdom

In the language of flowers, iris means faith and wisdom.

Something different for me. Here are two versions of my photo of iris flowers in my garden enhanced with artistic effects in Paintshop Pro.

The first is in coloured pencil.

The second is coloured edges.

Illustration Friday - Empty2

The boss was quite rude about my Ruby & Em empty illustration - so here he is in all his glory with his empty pockets - the ones he holds me responsible for!

Ruby and Em nipped quietly outside to empty the last couple of glasses out of the final winebox, leaving the men to do the washing up.

Felt tip pen and coloured pencil.

Illustration Friday - Ageing 2

My old bulldog Posted by Picasa

Danielle over at :

http://blog.lib.umn.edu/mahlu002/oneday/

posted a lovely picture of her old dog. I thought I would share my pastel pencil sketch of mine. He was more than 12 years old when I did this. He was, as usual, sitting enjoying a shaft of rare sunshine!

If I compare this with the picture I posted for IF - tranquillity, I can see the difference. His coat has faded, his features have dropped and his muzzle is peppered with grey hairs.

I did love that old dog!
